16th - 18th May 2008The Mediation Centre are holding another Mediation and Arts Weekend for mediators across the country. The last one taking place in 2005 and was very successful. We hope it will be as successful this year as it was in 2005. The title of the weekend is 'Back to the Garden' the weekend is focusing therefore on going back to basic, looking at practices etc together with lots of entertainment, nice food and drink. If you are interested in attending please look in our training and development section for a booking form. You are more than welcome. 2 March 2007The National Audit Office publishes its very positive report into the savings that can be made by encouraging more people into mediation. Their report is available to download here. FMA Press Release 02.03.07 5 February 2007 Neil assists Henry Brown in an exploratory residential course for Judges from the District Bench to the Court of Appeal in Mediation Skills and Awareness - another sign that mediation and ADR are increasingly recognised as central to the resolution of legal conflicts. 12th October 2006Contributions to the consultation on Lord Carter’s proposals for the future of Legal Aid. Our contributions on behalf of The Mediation Centre and Nowell Meller's Family Law Department indicate the devastating effect that these proposals will have on the future of publicly funded mediation and Family Law.
