For Children and Young People

Mediation is a way of helping parents reach agreements about what is best for their children. Our job as mediators is to help your parents to help you, by stopping disagreements and by coming up with arrangements that meet your needs. It’s very important that they know your views. Although we don’t often ask children to join us in the mediation, it does happen sometimes. Usually, however, we ask your parents to make sure they know your views and put them across to us.
