our core values

Innovation means that we will always strive to work imaginatively and creatively to provide the best environment for resolving issues.

innovation

It doesn't have to be this way... Every client is in a unique situation.  No two cases are ever the same.  There is something to learn from every mediation.  We open our doors to mediators from all over the UK, hosting events and seminars so we can all learn from each other, constantly improving the service that we can offer you.

It doesn't have to be this way... There are many obstacles to effective co-operation, and we seek to devise new ways of helping to remove those new obstacles, by developing new models of mediation and dispute resolution, and by creating new services which provide preparation for mediation to work.

It doesn't have to be this way... a commitment to co-operative resolution means a commitment to transforming the environment in which we deal with conflict.

Our choice is "Whether we travel the breadth of extremities, or stick to some straighter line” (Joni Mitchell – Hejira) - and we choose the extremities!

  • Innovation in mediation means that if is there is something standing in the way of effective mediation, we will try to provide a model to remove that obstacle
  • Innovation in family information means that we will look at new ways of providing information by way of pathways and packages, to help you find cost-effective and co-operative ways of navigating the complexities of separation and divorce
  • Innovation in professional development means we will provide a bridge between the complex needs of clients, and the services needed to meet those needs, by providing training and development opportunities that emphasise the conversation between experience and innocence

Innovation also means:

  • Innocence: freshness in approach, and openness to a new generation of mediators
  • Integrity: putting ethics at the centre of what we do
  • Integration: a vision which is both comprehensive and integrated, with ideas that constantly feed off each other

“We shall not cease from exploration. And the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time.”

TS Eliot - Little Gidding
